FAQ

What is the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)?
The city and the Warren County Regional Planning Commission formed a Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) to guide the comprehensive planning process. It includes community members as well as representatives from City departments. This committee will guide the planning process and oversee implementation after the plan is adopted.

What is included in a Comprehensive Plan?
Inventory and analysis topics include economic and demographic data, water resources, natural resources, parks and open spaces, transportation systems, housing stock, historical resources, land use and development patterns, and capital facilities and public services.

How often must a Comprehensive Plan be completed?
Plans are typically written with a 20-year outlook, however, comprehensive plans are living documents that should be updated every now and again as necessary. As a community changes in populations size or demographics, or as trends evolve, comprehensive plans must evolve too. Plans should typically be updated at least every ten years.
